Supporting Parents and Student Success

MILLER
Meet Scott
Hello, I’m Scott Miller, and I’m running for Trustee of Area 2 in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. My roots are in Chicago, where I attended public schools and developed a passion for physics. I dedicated eleven years to serving in the United States Armed Forces, committed to protecting our nation and our freedoms.
As a father, stepfather, and grandfather to six children and eight grandchildren, I understand that every child possesses unique abilities and potential. It’s our responsibility as parents and grandparents to nurture and guide them, helping them achieve success and contribute positively to their communities and country.
Parents and teachers are crucial in this journey towards student success. With my wife and daughter-in-law both being teachers, I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication educators bring to their students’ lives. Teaching is one of the highest callings, as it involves shaping the next generation of adults with selfless commitment.
In my spare time, I enjoy flying airplanes, traveling to assist war refugees, and working to rescue children from human trafficking. My goal is to make the world a better place than I found it.
